Update from Dan Martin on Organizing
The months of May and June are transition months for District Council 7 organizing. We are in the process of developing a well-rounded and structured strategy going forward.
With the loss of Steve Schreiner as the Director of Organizing, we will continue to build off of what was accomplished. As the new Director of Organizing, I will be using my nearly ten years of experience and knowledge to continue the work that Steve was doing. We will be keeping pressure on specific developers, non-union contractors and end users. We will identify these projects by jobsite visits to check the awarded contractors and by communicating with their employees. Top-down organizing will be an intricate part of our strategy along with consistent communication with owners, developers, contractors, sub-contractors and end users prior to jobs being awarded. Expect to see more synergy between departments at the Council. We will all work together.
To advance our organizing efforts, we will be creating a voluntary DC7 organizing committee. This committee will be made up of union members and will cover all topics related to organizing. The organizing committee will develop and implement strategies for bottom-up campaigns and community activism. If interested, please contact Daniel Martin at 920-238-7115.

IUPAT DC7 Retiree Club
The IUPAT DC7 Retiree Club meetings begin at 11:30 am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Lunch is served at Noon.
The Retiree Club meeting dates are:
- July 20, 2021 4th of July Picnic (Sausage Sizzle and Ice Cream Social)
- August 17, 2021 State Fair Day (Corn on the Cob and Hamburgers)
- September 21, 2021 Labor Day Celebration (Build your own Sub Sandwich)
- October 19, 2021 Halloween Fright
- November 16, 2021 Happy Thanksgiving (Roast Turkey Dinner)
