DC 7 is proud to announce the availability of six (6) college scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 for dependents of members in good standing. Applications will be accepted from May 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020. Details are listed below:
This scholarship contest is open to all sons and daughters, including step-children, of District Council 7 members in good standing. Applicants will submit a typewritten, double-spaced essay of between 750 and 1,000 words on a topic chosen by the District Council 7 Scholarship Committee.
The 2021 essay topic is:
“Protecting the Right to Organize Act, otherwise known as the PRO ACT, has been passed in the House. If this bill is signed into law by President Biden, what effect would it have on U.S. labor laws for both organized and unorganized workers and the contractors they work for?"
